The James R. Arnold Lecture is free, however there is a charge for parking at UCSD.

Parking Lots 102 and 103 are recommended  Please purchase permit at the Gilman Information Center [click here for map] before entering parking lots. This permit will allow you to park in green or yellow parking spaces. [The pay station in P103 is not on until 4:30 PM; therefore permit must be purchased at the Gilman Information Center [map].]

Natural Sciences Building


    From North and South of La Jolla

  1. Take Interstate 5 (or 805)

  2. Take the La Jolla Village Drive exit and head west. (You will pass Villa La Jolla Drive, and Gilman Drive). Stay on La Jolla Village Drive as it turns northward.

  3. Turn right on Revelle College Drive. You will see the La Jolla Playhouse on your right.

  4. Turn left on Scholars Drive and go to Parking Lot 102 on your left, or 103 on your right.

    After You Park

  1. From Lots 102 and 103 walk northward, past CLICS/Galbraith Hall.

  2. Pass through Revelle Plaza (you will see the fountain).

  3. Take the main pathway past Urey Hall and make a left toward Pacific Hall (with blue awnings).

  4. At Pacific Hall, make a left toward the Natural Sciences Building.

  5. The seminar is located in the 1st floor auditorium.
