Los
Angeles county has a population of nearly 10 million
people. Southern Californian's love their cars
and freeways. There are 2,300 persons per square
mile in Los Angeles County with a good percentage
of people in their cars at any given time.
Los
Angeles has a Metro Rail system
and a new line opened up recently all the way
to Pasadena.
The
Sheraton hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service
within a 5-mile radius - including the Metro stop
at Del Mar on the Gold Line.
TOURS:
There are several tour companies that offer
a variety of tours, a sample of tours is listed below.
Many of the tours pick up/drop off directly from the
Sheraton Pasadena.
Most
(but not all) of the tours have buses to pick up people
from the hotels (including the Sheraton) in the area
and drop passengers off at the Mann's Chinese Theater.
Then you get on the tour bus for the exact tour you
signed up for.
On
most days there are buses that return people back
to the hotels around 2PM and again at 6PM - this way
people who are on a half day tour can get back to
the hotel, or they can sight see on their own until
the last bus leaves.
You
should reserve a space as early as possible - most
